Modern Low-Country Coastal Residence
This elevated, modern low-country aesthetic is a fresh take on the coastal living-inspired home. It combines an open and airy floor plan with clean, sleek contemporary design elements. The house is designed as a compact U-shaped scheme to fit on an irregular, one-acre site with fixed, critical marsh setbacks. Red Pencil Design crafted a courtyard and pool between both wings of the home with views to the nearby marsh. The first-floor open floor plan is designed to maximize views with welcoming porches for enjoying the outdoors. The interior includes four bedrooms, an informal eating and living space, and several entertainment areas. Metal roofing and a mixture of board and batten siding complete the coastal style. This Fripp Island home also offers space at the ground level for entertaining, parking, and storage.
